TikTok
TikTok is testing 30 minute videos in a bid to compete with YouTube. The new video length has been seen on beta versions of the UK and US versions of the app. Read more on Tech Crunch.

Google Search CPCs are up 19% which has led to ad spend increasing by 17%
Advertising spend on Google search ads in the U.S. rose by 17% year-on-year in the final quarter of 2023. Meanwhile, Google click growth remained steady at 8% year-on-year, while cost-per-click accelerated to 9% during the same period. Read more on search engine land.
Google adds new AI elements to Chrome, including a generative writing assistant. The new feature is designed to help users come up with better queries and posts.
On 29th February, LinkedIn will be discontinuing Lookalike Audiences. Active or draft campaigns using lookalike audiences will be archived automatically 30 days after the change. Users are being encouraged to move to Predictive Audiences or Audience Expansion instead.
