Does Mr Beasts £200,000 video payout show X ads still has potential?

Despite having previously criticised the platform, the world’s most popular YouTuber MrBeast has earned over £200,000 ($250,000) in ad revenue by posting an old video on to X. Read more on Marketing Beat.

Meta

People using Instagram and Facebook in the EU, EEA and Switzerland will soon be offered several choices about how they would like to manage their experiences across Meta products. Meta is offering these choices to address the requirements of the Digital Markets Act (DMA), which comes into effect in March 2024. Read the full announcement here

Meta announces that using AI assisted ads increases ROI by 32%. Meta has been rolling out changes to the platform to include more AI based features over the past year, making it quicker and easier than ever to advertise on their platforms. Read more here.

TikTok

TikTok trials 30-minute video uploads for selected users. The longer video formats aim to create more opportunities for brands and marketers to purchase mid-roll ads, which are known for their higher completion and engagement rates. Read more on Search Engine Land.

Google

Google Ads conversational experience launches in the U.S. and UK, but will soon be accessible globally. Conversational experience is a new chat based feature, which combines user knowledge with Google AI to speed up the creation of Google Search Campaigns and aid in optimisation. Read more here

Google requires marketers to send verifiable consent signals to them before March 2024. The request comes as Google makes further improvements to enforcing their EU User Consent Policy and improving Consent Mode. Read the full announcement here

Bing

Bing announces that Hotel Centre subaccounts will be deprecated by 6 February 2024. The only way to manage these Lodging solutions going forward, will be through the new offering – Lodging Campaigns.

You will still be able to use Bing’s Hotel Centre to manage your feeds, such as uploading and editing your property feed or verifying your transaction messages. Read the full announcement here.

Amazon

Amazon has launched an AI tool to help answer customer questions about specific products. Customers can ask a question and the AI technology scans through reviews and the product listing to find the answer. Read more here.
