Meta

Meta is introducing an ad free subscription service for EU users of their platforms. The service will cost between €9.99 and €12.99 depending on where you live. Read more here

Meta is experimenting with custom AI chat bots, meaning that in the future you could potentially design your own to use on their platforms. Read more on Social Media Today.

Meta is adding new tools to the Reels functionality, giving users the option to A/B test and participate in reach based incentives. Read the announcement on Meta’s Newsroom.

TikTok

TikTok has released a guide for small businesses to help them establish a presence on the platform. The 2 part guide contains tips, tricks and details on how to set up an account and how to use TikTok’s Ad Manager.

Google

Google have updated their “about this image” tool to include more details such as the origin, metadata, descriptions and fact checking sites. The aim is to make it easier for users to verify images on Google. Read more on The Verge.

Google is testing a new version of their overview on Google Ads. The feature is available to a few select advertisers only. Stay tuned for more updates. 

Google is adding a “small business” tag to make it easier to shop with and support small businesses. The tag will show on Google Shopping and Google Maps, and is currently only available in the US. Hopefully the feature will be rolled out globally, stay tuned for updates!

YouTube

Users with a YouTube channel will no longer be able to choose which ad formats are shown on their videos. From November 2023, all ad forms will be available to be shown on all videos
